Michael Masi is an Australian motorsport administrator who served as the Race Director for Formula One from 2019 to 2021. He took over the role following the sudden death of Charlie Whiting.

His tenure as FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) Race Director was marked by several controversial decisions, particularly at the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The events of the 2021%20Abu%20Dhabi%20Grand%20Prix, where his handling of a late safety car period significantly impacted the outcome of the World%20Championship, led to widespread criticism and debate within the Formula One community.

Following an investigation into the Abu Dhabi race, the FIA removed Masi from his position as Race Director in February 2022. He was subsequently offered a different role within the FIA.
